We had a great start for our first year of incorporation. From 1 April 2023 – 31 March 2024 we had 167 members signed up for the inaugural year which raised $6780 in membership fees. Other major income included $800 from SingleTrack Events as a thank you for volunteering as a group at the Puffing Billy Running Festival in September 2023.
The major expense for the year was the purchase of our DTR marquee and flags which have been used at running events and our DTR Christmas party at Kalorama. We always get a lot of interest when we have this on display and it’s a great opportunity to get everyone together and a place to meet and share stories about your race.
Other expenses included incorporation fees, Athletics Victoria club membership, first aid kits and first aid courses for run leaders, Bogong Equipment vouchers for run leaders that led 10+ times from April to December, social events and surprise aid station supplies.
The cash funds available as at 31 March 2023 was $2,125.48. This will be carried forward to 2024-25.
Some of the events we have funded so far for 2024-25 are the self defence course, run leaders catch up, partially funding Level 1 recreational running course for some run leaders, membership renewal drive and surprise merchandise for members.
The committee look forward to another great year ahead with increasing benefits to paid up members. If you run regularly with us please support our club and purchase a membership.
